Aeschynanthus Lobbianus comprises about 80 species of climbing and evergreen plants that produce very striking flowers.
They are mostly epiphytic greenhouse plants. They have woody, drooping or climbing stems with simple, opposite, elliptical, dark green leaves that are fleshy and well spaced. The red or orange flowers appear in summer and are fragrant and tubular in shape.
It likes good light for flowering, which would be lacking in shady positions, but without being exposed to direct sunlight.
