Pachira aquatica is an evergreen plant from the Bombacaceae family, the same family as the majestic Baobab. It is only one of many species of Pachira and is the most widely cultivated in our latitudes.

Popular legends and traditions attribute to the leaves of the Pachira the power to attract money, luck and success. The money attracted by the leaves would then be kept inside the trunk. These “powers” have given the Water Pachira the epithet “Money Tree”.

The plant should be placed in a light and ventilated area.
